Pesticide Residue Laboratory, Sophisticated Environmental Analytical Facility, is an NABL accredited Laboratory with ISO-17025: 2017 implementation for analysis of pesticide residues in ground water and surface water. The scope of accreditation includes primarily organochlorine pesticides.
The current accreditation validity is from 31/03/2025 to 30/03/2029. Major activities of laboratory include regular monitoring of pesticide residues in the surface water bodies located in agriculture intensive area under project sponsored by Ministry of agriculture and Farmers Welfare. The other project activities carried out include Inter-laboratory comparisons, POP-pesticide studies, Pesticide active ingredient studies, Pesticide reference materials for environmental matrix and Pesticide remediation studies.
